Our wool Statement Blankets, Bed/Couch Runners, rugs and art are handwoven in the Carpathian Mountains of Western Ukraine, where we partner with collective of female artisans in the region. Each step of our process is executed by hand, as traditionally done for over 1,000 years in the region. From the cruelty-free sheep shearing practices, the spinning and dyeing of the organic Carpathian wool, to line-drying the finished goods amongst juniper trees in the woods.

Due to the handcrafted nature of this item, expect slight variations in the appearance of each unique piece. By the way, our Carpathian sheep are happy because they roam free, which means they sometimes get straw and flowers caught in their coats. So, if you find a small piece of straw in the wool, feel free to pick it out—although, why would you want to? Consider it a small gift from a fluffy friend.
