Description

The Iskra bed runner is a trinity of natural-colored rhombuses with a detailed woven border, featuring eye-catching hues of Onyx, Buckwheat, Stone, Ash and Fawn. This runner is part of our Natural Collection, which means the wool is 100% undyed—our sheep love to show off their beautiful colors for you!

Due to the handcrafted nature of this item, expect slight variations in the appearance of each unique piece. By the way, Carpathian sheep are happy because they roam free, which means they sometimes get straw and flowers into their coats. So, if you find a small piece of straw in the wool, feel free to pick it out—although, why would you want to? Consider it a small gift from a fluffy friend.

How to Use

Drape the Iskara runner across the foot of a bed, style it along the back of a couch with pillow covers, or place it as a table runner to emphasize its diamond design. Its versatile size allows it to move between spaces, offering warmth, rhythm, and artistry wherever it rests.

Pattern Story: Diamonds & Sparks

The diamond motif represents focus and protection, while repeating triangles suggest sparks radiating outward. Ash, onyx, and fog tones embody stone and shadow, with buckwheat adding warmth. Together, they create a design that feels both ancient and alive, a modern American classic rooted in cultural heritage.

Woven Work, Woven Lives

Behind every Iskara runner are women artisans weaving from their homes in mountain villages. Fair wages and flexible hours allow them to balance family with craft, ensuring weaving traditions remain strong. Each runner reflects patience, rhythm, and resilience, sustaining both artisans and their communities.

Wool That Works With You

Wool has always been valued for adaptability, and the Iskara runner continues that tradition. Naturally regulating body temperature, it provides warmth when needed and stays breathable in warmer months. Its durable weave resists wear while softening with use, making it a timeless decorative bed runner that layers beautifully with wool blankets or other home textiles.

Choosing With Care

Every Hustle & Blush runner is created slowly and intentionally. From shearing to weaving, no step is rushed. With proper care instructions, spot clean, dry clean if needed, or tumble dry on delicate, it becomes more than décor, softening with use and gathering meaning over time.

FAQ

What makes the Iskara runner unique?

It is a lighter weave than a full blanket, designed specifically for layering across beds, couches, or walls while carrying the same heritage design.

How do I care for it?

Spot clean when possible. For a deeper wash, use cold water on a gentle cycle with natural detergent. Air dry flat or tumble dry on delicate. Simple care instructions keep it long-lasting.

Are the colors natural?

Yes. The cream base is undyed wool, while ash, fog, onyx, and buckwheat accents are achieved with natural dyes. Slight variations are part of its authenticity.

Where is it made?

Each decorative bed runner is handwoven in Ukraine by female artisans who work from home and receive fair trade wages.

Will my runner look exactly like the photos?

Not exactly. Each runner is handmade, so variations in weave and tone are expected, making every piece unique.
