How We Reinvest in the Hands and Hearts That Make Hustle & Blush Possible

We started Hustle & Blush with a commitment that our beautiful products would never come at the cost of people or the planet.

But we didn’t stop at fair wages or dignified work, at Hustle and Blush, we believe that is the bare minimum. Real change isn’t just about what happens in the workshop, it’s also when a girl can stay in school, when an elder is seen, held, and safe, or when a stray dog finds healing and safety instead of fear.

This is what reinvestment looks like to us, personal, powerful, rooted in love and above all mutual respect. We take a portion of every sale and pour it right back into the communities we work with, where the impact runs deep and the gratitude is loud.

This isn’t charity. It’s a responsibility. It’s reciprocity. And it’s personal.

Women’s Healthcare & Equality

Breaking cycles of shame with education, dignity, and truth.

Education creates

systematic change

Through honest education and access to support products, we’re helping change mindsets, not just for women, but for the whole community. We currently provide:

  • Anatomy and menstrual health training for over 450 women and 80+ men in our artisan network
  • Separate, sensitive sessions for men and women to preserve dignity and promote raw unfiltered dialogue.
  • Free menstrual products and an open-door workplace culture where no woman is ever shamed for her cycle, excluded for its presence or limited because of it.

Equality in action, regardless of caste, background, or biology

But we’re not stopping there.

We’ve connected with Radha Paudel, the powerful activist behind the Dignified Menstruation movement in Nepal. Our stretch goal? To:

  • Partner with Radha’s foundation to deliver her 4-day curriculum to all 450 women and 100+ men at our facilities and support her in a broader way.
  • Expand our support to help fund her training to rural villages and towns, where menstrual segregation is still deeply ingrained.
  • Continue shifting generational beliefs, so that little girls grow up with confidence and knowing they’re worthy of inclusion every of the month.

Your purchase makes this possible. You’re helping rewrite what womanhood means in places that have long called it shameful.

Animal Welfare & Disease Prevention

Healing animals. Protecting people. Strengthening communities.

In Kathmandu, stray dogs are seen as neighbors, and are treated remarkably better than in other developing nations. They live amongst the people, are part of the city’s rhythm, however they’re also at the core of a very real health crisis: rabies.

With most transmissions coming from unvaccinated street dogs, rabies quietly takes the lives of over 100 humans and 100 livestock annually. Yet many deaths go unreported, misunderstood, or ignored.

We've partnered with the Kathmandu Animal Treatment (KAT) Centre, a nonprofit that works on the front lines with Kathmandu’s street animals and wildlife through their remarkable initiatives:

  • Spay and neuter clinics
  • Vaccination drives
  • Surgeries and long-term medical care
  • Adoption and community education programs

Our support includes:

  • Funding KAT's team, which includes two veterinarians, four vet techs, and additional staff and volunteers
  • Operating three ambulances to respond to animal related emergencies
  • Transporting medical supplies and lifesaving equipment from the U.S.
  • Helping treat over 500 dogs and cats this year alone

Disaster struck in late in 2024 and a mudslide destroyed major parts of the KAT facility. The puppy yard, outdoor walk space, and vital kennels were buried in debris, and we'd like to help them get the areas repaired.

Together with you, we’re working to:

  • Raise $15,000 to rebuild the damaged areas
  • Restore animal recovery spaces critical to their socialization and healing
  • Expand support as our business grows to ensure both animals and people in the Kathmandu region are safer, healthier, and cared for

This isn’t just animal rescue. It’s public health, empathy, and the kind of compassion the world needs more of.

Elder Care in Refugee Communities

Honoring those who raised others; now it’s our turn to care for them.

When we asked how we could help, they didn’t ask for much. So we gave more.

Now, we:

  • Support 18 elders and 3 staff members
  • Provide toiletries, household goods, chocolates, and spending money twice a year
  • Donate to the home’s operating costs so they never have to choose between food and medicine

When we visit, we are greeted with smiles, prayers, and gratitude so deep it's silencing. They tell us we are part of their daily puja, woven into their morning chants. Their blessings and prayers fuel us to do more for them.

Our plans to do even more:

  • Hire a fourth caregiver to lighten the load and offer more personalized care
  • Shift to quarterly support deliveries, including fresh bedding and blankets
  • Create an emergency fund for wheelchairs, canes, and medical essentials, so no elder goes without dignity or the support they need.

This initiative is about presence, showing up for those the world too often overlooks. And staying.

You Make This Possible

When you buy from Hustle & Blush, you support each and every one of our initiatives:

  • You help girls stay in school and break a cycle of shame and segregation
  • You fund surgeries for stray dogs and stop the spread of disease.
  • You wrap elders in comfort and care to ensure they’re never alone.

This is what happens when business turns into community. When profits become promises for a more compassionate world. And when you choose to stand not just with us, but for them.
